ANOTHER BATCH FOR BLAENCWM

Three more 4mm scale (OO9) Ffestiniog Railway carriages been completed for one of my regular clients.

They were scratch built in styrene and finished by hand.

The order was for a model of the 'Service Carriage' 124

The second generation Observation Carriage 100

And 112 which was one of three carriages built at Carnforth in the early 1990's.

FAQ

Q: Do you only make models out of styene?

A: Yes. I've yet to find a carriage or wagon I haven't been able to build.

Q: How much do your models cost?

A: It all depends. Every model is unique. I charge clients a very reasonable hourly rate plus cost of materials used to make their model. If you want a simple model with less detailing it will cost less than a more complicated prototype with more finescale detailing included.

Q: So how will I know what it will cost?

A: This is discussed with clients before they commission a model. If it's a repeat of a design I've made before I will be able to give you a clear idea of the likely final cost. I keep clients updated about the progress of their model and the running total of charges.

Q: What if I want to cancel halfway through?

A: That's no problem. You pay me for the work done up to that point and I will despatch the model in the state it has reached.

Q: Do you make locomotives?

A: I don't make chassis or mechanisms but I have successfully built diesel locomotives to fit on an N gauge chassis.
